Engagement Portraits and Engagement Photography
Engagement portraits are the first fun part of the wedding photography experience. They have become increasingly popular over the last decade. A good engagement session can yield more than just a nice formal portrait of a couple. We strive to create a variety of looks that show love, the chemistry between the couple, and their joy of being together.
How we approach Engagement Portraits
Each shoot is a callaborative and creative process. We try to learn about the couple's personality and run the session accordingly. Engagement sessions allow for the development of a good working relationship and trust before the wedding day. It is the best opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us.
Where do we photograph Engagement Sessions?
We can pretty much accomodate any place of your choice. Many couples choose places such as - the first place they met or where they had their first date.
If you can't think of anything or don't have a favourite, we can recommend a number of places that are nice around Toronto and the GTA. We often shoot urban style sessions in Durham Region, just East of Toronto because it has some great industrial areas and some nice parks. Some nice places to shoot include, Edwards Gardens, The Guild Inn located in Scarborough, and the Pickering Beach.
What is included in the Engagement Session?
Typically, you will spend between 2 - 3 hours with one photographer. We will take pictures in several places for variety and then select a handful of the best pictures from each spot, resulting in about 25-30 final photos. You will be able to browse your pictures online and share them with friends and family, and use them to order prints or you can also make your own prints if you prefer.
Even if you decide to have someone else photograph your wedding day, we can do your engagement portrait session for $349. You get an outdoor session in any place of your choice in the Toronto area and a DVD containing high resolution pictures with a shared copyright release.
